Blackfoot

Blackfoot é uma banda de southern rock de Jacksonville, Florida. A banda foi formada em 1972 e é conteporânea dos Lynyrds Skynyrds. O grupo ficou anos tentando se fixar como uma banda de southern, já que eram mais populares como uma banda de hard rock.

A banda dissolveu-se em 1984 mas, em 1987, Rick Medlocke, 'frontman' da primeira formação, reviveu o Blackfoot com novos músicos de apoio, e lançaram dois álbuns ("Medicine Man" e "After The Reign"). Em 1996 Medlocke deixou a banda para se juntar aos Lynyrds Skynyrds.

Em 2004 a banda ressurge por iniciativa de três membros fundadores do Blackfoot original (Jackson Spires, Greg T. Walker e Charlie Hargrett). Como Medlocke não estava disponível a função de 'frontman' foi dada a Bobby Barth. Em 2005, Spires falece de aneurisma mas os demais componentes resolvem continuar com a banda e chamam Christoph Ullmann para a bateria.
