Hammerfall

Power Heavy Metal! De origem sueca, o HammerFall teve início em 1993 com os ex-membros da banda Ceremonial Oath, Oscar Dronjäk e Jesper Strömblad (In Flames). Em 1997, já com Joacim Cans nos vocais e também auxiliando nas composições, o grupo assina com a Nuclear Blast e lança o disco Glory To The Brave. Já em 1998, a formação do conjunto se estabiliza com Joacim Cans (vocal), Oscar Dronjäk (guitarra), Stefan Elmgren (guitarra), Magnus Rosén (baixo) e Patrik Räfling (bateria). Nesta época, Jesper Strömblad deixou de ser um membro fixo da banda, para dedicar suas atenções mais ao In Flames. A cada trabalho lançado o grupo consolida ainda mais seu nome no cenário europeu e mundial. Muitas pessoas não curtem os últimos trabalhos do conjunto, por serem álbuns repetitivos, que mostram uma banda que não ousa muito e não tenta mudar a fórmula já criada de fazer sucesso. O recente trabalho No Sacrifice, No Victory, contou com a presença de Jens Johasson do Stratovarius
