Freedom Call

O Freedom Call foi criado na Alemanha em 1998, pelos amigos Chris Bay (vocal) e Dan Zimmermann (bateria). Esta parceria teve início em 1988, quando Dan convidou Chris para fazer parte da banda China White. Desde então Dan e Chris começaram a tocar juntos em algumas bandas cover (Lanzer, por exemplo) durante alguns anos.

No início de 1998 Dan tinha muito tempo livre, já que o Gamma Ray, banda de que faz parte, fez um longo descanso e no verão tocou apenas em alguns festivais.

Reunidos, os músicos começar a compor várias músicas, com o intuito de idealizar uma nova banda.
